I’ve had a bit of a reality check lately… I may wear too many neutrals. I may have a minor problem with only buying peanut butter brown accessories. I may not be stepping outside of my comfort zone very much. What is a plus size ootd if you’re not stepping outside of your comfort zone? Well… it’s still a plus size ootd just a little less sparkly.

Ok, to be fair this dress is cute as hell. And I love a good short dress. And stripes are pretty much the most universally adorable thing on every person ever no matter what anyone says. And, look… I did put on red lipstick. So I didn’t completely hide in a neutral haze.

This is my commitment post. This is my commitment to try purples, and greens, and blues! Because purple is an every day color, and I look fantastic in it! It’s been a good run, you beautiful neutral frocks, but some times we gotta make room for a little more sparkle! Here we go!

Dress – Rainbow (3x)
Bag – Similar | Less expensive
Hat – Urban Outfitters
Booties – Amazon
Lip Color – Stila

Move over peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and stripes are the new star.

Hey can I put in a request for tips on posing? I’ve read Jes Baker’s tips for boudoir posing, which was great, but I’d love more casual clothes modeling type of poses. Obviously I’m asking you because otherwise I would get a million tips about how to hide my stomach and chins. We get family pictures every year and every single year I’m as stiff as a board in the best pictures and look like a serial killer in the middle of sneezing the rest of the time.
