Winter calls for a little bit more liveliness in our outfits, because let’s face it, it’s a little grey out there. A great way to add excitement and interest to a standard sweater and jeans is with a couple accessories. Admittedly, I’m just starting to practice using cold weather accessories so I’m definitely not an expert. There’s definitely something about throwing on a hat that makes me feel like my outfit is much more complete. Something about layers and details that make getting dressed in the Winter months is really fun, and without warm weather and a pool to lay near I am definitely down for more fun! So here’s a little list of my favorites. I’ve broken them down by store, because I didn’t want to list a bunch of singular items from stores that aren’t carrying any other cute things. So these are my favorite things, from my favorite places!
I just really adore Old Navy lately. They seem to be making progress with making their plus size section more affordable, and they continue to carry great staple pieces at reasonable prices. One thing that remains the same, they’re the Queen of inexpensive accessories! Everything listed is under $15 and up to size 30!
The plus size line at Boohoo is super cute, but because it only goes up to a size 20 I tend to shop more in the accessories section. One of my favorite things trending this fall is these little mini cape things, that are basically like bedazzled shoulder pads (not my best description but they really are adorable!). I also love a great pair of sunglasses in the cool months. Remember, just cause it’s grey outside doesn’t mean the sun isn’t damaging those sweet little eyeballs of yours!
I love Modcloth’s unique accessories, and I always know I’ll find something fun and different there. I love these velvet gloves and oh my goodness, they have the absolute best selection of booties and they’re all on sale right now!!!
What are your favorite cold weather accessories this year? Where’s your favorite place to shop for them? I’m always looking for cool new places to find awesome things to keep me warm and toasty!
