You know the drill!!! You can find find where to shop for Budget Babes, Babes Size 28+, Indie Designers, High-End, and Swimwear in previous posts from the series! We’re working our way through 100 places to shop for plus size clothing and we’re moving right along into Where To Buy Work Wear! Because some people don’t spend their days on the internet looking at clothing and putting it into neat little orderly posts and actually have to leave their houses to go to work! I kind of miss the days when I would wear slacks and get to feel like a fancy lawyer.

To be clear, I’ve never been a lawyer… but my childhood brain told me people who wear fancy clothes are always lawyers.

Whether you’re a lawyer, a teacher, or just an all around boss that likes to get shit done while wearing a great pant suit, this one’s for you!!!

Eloquii – Let’s give it up for this striped pant suit. It’s AH-mazing. The banner at the top of their site says “sizes 14-28”, but there are some limited options that only go up to size 24. I really hope this means we’re going to start seeing them increase their size limits, cause if I ever have to go back to an office job I’m going to be living in these clothes. Prices start around $40 and you can get a whole pant suit for about $150.

Lane Bryant – LB has been a fat girl staple for as long as I can remember. The reason I’m putting them in the “work wear” category is because I think that’s what they do best. Though they carry a lot of different kinds of clothes, I believe that the biggest bang from your buck from this store comes when you’re s hopping for something a little more professional. With sizes up to 28, prices start around $30. Remember that LB’s counterpart Catherine’s goes up to size 34 and carries the same variety of clothing!

H&M – If you’re looking for something affordable (who isn’t?) and you’re on the smaller side of the plus spectrum, this store has a few great pieces every season. sizes up to 24, prices as low as $15.

Macy’s – Macy’s has been a staple in a lot of people’s daily work wear for years. Most of us have access to a Macy’s near us (thank goodness!), did you know that they have even more options online? From affordable tailored suits, to sleek clean knee length dresses, Macy’s has plenty of options for everyone’s work wear needs! Sizes from 14-26 and prices start around $20.

Addition Elle – More cute work wear!!! Make sure you check out their sister company (which carries less expensive clothing) Pennington’s. Up to size 26.

Modcloth – This site has all it’s pieces into caeories like “Work Dresses” “Work Pants” and “Work Tops” so it’s really easy o find the professional pieces you’re looking for. Are of their clothes are really pretty and colorful!

Avenue – This brand has really cute work wear pieces. And some of their sizing goes all the way up to size 32!

CityChic –This brand has really cute pieces, they even have their clothing categorized into “Workwear” categories to help you find exactly what you’re looking for! Their sizes go from size 14 to  size 24!

LOFT-  LOFT just added Plus Sizes to it’s collection. So this line is brand new! The sizes start at 16 and go to 26! All of their clothing could be dressed professionally with a little creativity. They have lots of options for trousers and slacks that are comfy and look well suited for workwear and day wear. Prices start at about $40.

Honorable mentions:
Nordstrom’s | Dillardsjcpenneys

I hope you all find FABULOUS workwear that makes you feel killer while you’re killin it at work!!! Lots of the places on the list frequently have sales going that I’ll mention periodically over in the Weekly Deals section on my sidebar so be sure you check that out!

Thanks Abby! The reason Eshakti wasn’t listed on this post ws because they had already been listed over on the “Where To Shop For 28+“!!! I LOVE Eshakti! And they would absolutely be a great place to shop for work wear!!!!!

Thanks for the information. Just FYI, if it wasn’t mentioned elsewhere (of course) I visited Mod Cloth a few times (no orders from there yet) and have seen many photos of snappily dressed plus size customers who were quite happy with their purchases.

Thank you for putting this list together! After 10+ years of wearing logoed polo shirts and khakis or black pants, I am starting a new career that requires “grown-up” clothes for the office. I really had no idea where to begin besides the Lane Bryant and Torrid. I limited my budget to $500 to get me started and found some fabulous pieces at Eloquii, SimplyBe and hit a jackpot at Kohl’s online! Yes, that surprised me too as most of the plus-size offerings in our local store look like they are for old people or resemble the mu-mu. I also picked up 3 pairs of awesome shoes at ModCloth for less than $100.00. I can’t wait to get started in my new career and now I will look the part!

White House black market is just starting to make plus sizes this year there really not for me but I think it’s a great option for women who are curvy and go to the office!!!

Help! I was browsing your website about a month ago and found links to some online places to shop, and I found a blazer that seemed like it would work for a business function. I did not bookmark the page, thinking I would just come back here and find it again. Now I cannot find it. Aargh! I really need it and soon! It was a size 28, so not from the stores like Macy’s, Dillards, etc. that just go up to 24. And it was pricey. Not a discount store. Any ideas?

    • fatgirlflow August 26, 2018 at 2:45 pm

It is likely from eloquii!!!! There’s a link to that site on this page <3
