Plus Size Denim // Fatgirlflow.com

You’ve all been asking for this post for a long time, and the time has finally come! I get SO many questions about plus size jeans! Shopping for denim isn’t easy and if you’re plus size it’s damn near a nightmare. I’ve got a lot of patience when it comes to online shopping, but I have a mild anxiety attack when trying to find a pair of “skinny” jeans that are everything I’ve ever dreamed of. ps- who the hell called these “skinny” jeans? Haven’t we been calling them “tapered” jeans forever? Why the sudden name change? I would like to submit a petition to change it back, please.

I’m going to show you my five favorite pairs, and tell you why I love them. My best piece of advice for shopping for the elusive perfect pair of jeans is to make a commitment to trying on at least 3 pairs. If that means you have to order a pair, send it back, order another one, send it back, and order another, [/wc_column][/wc_row]

that’s ok! If you have to, only shop places with great return policies. If the first pair you try doesn’t fit, don’t be discouraged! Remember that there is nothing wrong with your body just because a silly pair of jeans doesn’t want to get right! You are perfect. Your body is perfect. Shopping is really hard and tiring, and being tough on yourself doesn’t make the denim fit any better. So if they don’t fit, don’t stress, and absolutely don’t beat yourself up about it!

Recently, someone asked me where they could find a true plus size boyfriend jean. You know, the kind that look perfectly straight legged and not super tight. You can roll them a little bit and they look effortless. Like maybe you just left your house after a morning of casually sipping tea and going to the farmer’s market, and now you’re on your way to look at paint swatches for the

[/wc_column][/wc_row]art studio your partner is building in the backyard out of reclaimed wood. You know the look. Well, I like these SimplyBe jeans for that. They’re comfy and you can move in them, and they come in three different colors so the people at the farmers market will totally think you have a closet full of all sorts of effortless looking jeans.

What’s that? You’re dreaming of a great everyday tapered leg jean that is comfortable and looks great with damn near everything! Fashion to Figure is killing it with their denim. They’re now offering sizes up to 26 (which is what I’m wearing in this pic). These are the jeans I spend most of my days in. They’re cute with evetrything. Everything!

The boyfriend jeans counterpart, the girlfriend jean. These are from Torrid and they’re amazing. They have really nailed this style and I hope everyone loves them as much as I do, because I want them to make way more styles in this fit so that I can own all of them!

I am not one to spend a lot of money on my jeans, as I’m sure you can tell from the ones listed so far. I have a $100 max, almost always. Enough people told me about James Jeans that I was convinced I needed to try them. Let me tell you, it was an out of body experience when I put them on. I literally threw one leg up on my bed while the other remained on the floor

and started doing squats while  yelling at my husband “look how much I can bend in these, my body feels like moldable butter!”. I can’t describe why or how these jeans are so comfortable, they just are. They’re probably made of unicorn hairs or some shit, which would explain the price tag. I can wear these all day. I actually keep them on when I get home for the day because they’re so comfortable. The only downside to these is that they don’t seem to come tapered enough for me, but hell if i’m going to spend $200 on the most comfortable pair of jeans on earth, I guess I can spend another $20 to get them altered.

I don’t have a butt. It just, isn’t there. I’m totally ok with it, especially because I have this interesting illusion going on where my lower back is just fat enough to make it look like I am packing some major booty. The fact remains, there’s just no butt. I am definitely not mad at this amazing booty enhancing denim! I never expected to find my absolute favorite pair of [/wc_column][/wc_row]

plus size jeans on HSN, but lo’ and behold that’s where these babies came from. They’re the jeans I’m wearing in my sidebar image, and the jeans I’m wearing in all of my product pictures for the Fat Girl Flow merchandise. These jeans do not play around. They fit my fat bod like a glove and have mercy, I feel fine as hell in them!

That’s the plus size jeans scoop! I’ve got denim for days and I love them for all different reasons, but my main goal is always comfort. I hope you guys find some amazing denim, and remember if you’re looking for other guides for plus size shopping, check out the “where to shop” tab!

Oh yeah… you can get that Fat Girl Flow shirt here!

Where do you shop for professional / work clothes. I need suits made for a plus size woman with full upper arms.

How about bell bottomed, flared, hell, bootcut jeans? That's my style. They've been hard to find since, "tapered" became "skinny". Old Navy is the best place I used to get them. That store closed about 6 months ago.

Trans dude in desperate need of help....I have an unholy level of ass that is just Vastly above and Beyond anything men's jeans in Australia can handle...and women's jeans have become more and more 'womanly' and less and less androgynous lately. Is there any way to find something high waisted that can fit my rump and that doesn't taper so hard that my calves can't fit, without being obviously Femme? I'm tired of wearing sad man shorts that are all that's available here ;A:

I would try the james jeans if you can afford them. They are very androgynous and have LOTS of stretch in the tush without looking like... jeggings? Also a new denim brand called Fat Trunk is out and they're making jeans for fat dudes and they're GREAT! Also also, asos has some styles that could work!!!
